What is the Offer Assistant™?
Offer Assistant™ is the latest addition to the Billeo Assistant Suite. This new service is designed to help you find discounts and rewards easily when shopping online.
With Billeo’s Offer Assistant™, when you are searching for an item online your search results will be tagged with the Billeo icon indicating that a discount or several discounts are available for that item. This now gives you the ability to evaluate and choose discounts and rewards from banks, financial institutions and online merchants in one place within the main, unsponsored search results of the three most popular search engines: Google.com, Yahoo.com or Bing.com. Furthermore, if a coupon code or a specific payment card has to be used on the checkout page, the Offer Assistant™ will remember to prompt you during checkout, and assist in filling the coupon code. Today, the Offer Assistant™ service presents discounts and rewards available to you as a Visa, American Express or UPside prepaid card member.
Many discounts will be automatically applied for you when you checkout. On the occasion where an offer requires a promotion code to trigger the discount, Billeo will pop up again at checkout to remind you of the offer code and offer to fill it in for you.
Where can I see my passwords? How can I edit them?
How to access your passwords:
- In Classic View click the Passwords button on the toolbar; in Compact View just click the Billeo icon in your browser
- Select Manage Passwords
- Re-enter your Billeo password if required
- You can see all your saved passwords organized by the domain name
- Select a 'Web Domain' to see all of the related saved passwords
- Select a 'Password Name' to view the name and password
To view a password, click on the password field. Asterisks (*) will be replaced by the actual password (We do this so that if there is a person standing next to you, the person cannot read your password until you click on the password field).
To change a password, click on the password field and make your changes directly. Your change will be saved once you move away from that field. To delete any password, select the 'Password Name' and click on the delete button - a small orange button with the picture of a trash can. If there is only one password for the domain then the domain will also be removed.
Can I disable the Billeo features I don't use?
Definitely. Just follow these steps:
- Click the Billeo icon in your browser
- Click Settings
- Check/uncheck the box next to a given feature you wish to enable/disable in the Assistants and Look & Feel sections of the sidebar
How do I install Billeo?
You can download Billeo by clicking Get Billeo Now on the upper right-hand side of this page and following the instructions in the set up wizard.
How do I print a hard copy of my saved passwords?
This option is currently not available, but you can view and edit individual passwords. In Classic View click Passwords on the toolbar and select Manage Passwords. In Compact View click the Billeo icon and select Manage Passwords.
How can Billeo help me manage my passwords?
Billeo allows you to forget your passwords as it remembers all of them for you. Now you can easily create complex, secure passwords and not worry about remembering each one of them. Billeo remembers and Auto-Fills your username and passwords for various sites that you save. You just have to remember your Billeo username and password and let the Password Assistant™ take care of the rest. The passwords are stored in an encrypted format on your own PC in the Billeo Vault.
Can I manually insert my passwords and logins for sites?
In order to capture all of the information necessary to automatically log you into a website Billeo needs to save the information from the login page. While signed in into Billeo, log in to the website and you will be prompted to save the username and password. The next time you access this website, your log in information will be filled in automatically.
I only have the one Billeo button: Where is the rest of my toolbar?
Billeo is in Compact View. To switch back to the full toolbar (or Classic View):
- Click on the Billeo icon in your browser
- Click Settings
- Check the box next to “Enable Classic View” in the Look & Feel section of the sidebar
*Note: Also look in the “Assistants” area of the Settings to ensure all the features you traditionally use are enabled (checked).
Where are my passwords stored?
All your passwords are stored on your on PC in your encrypted vault. They are encrypted using industry standard 128 Bit AES encryption. We do not have any access to them.
You can view the location of your vault by following these quick steps:
- While signed in, click the Billeo icon in your browser
- Click on Settings
- Your eWallet location is shown in the Security section of the sidebar
I don’t need another whole toolbar in my browser: Any way to make it smaller?
Sure. Just follow these steps:
- Click on the Billeo icon in your browser
- Click Settings
- Uncheck the box next to “Enable Classic View” in the Look & Feel section of the sidebar
- Uncheck the box next to “Enable Search Box” in the look & Feel section of the sidebar
Billeo should now be reduced to a single button located next to the address bar on your browser. You still have full Billeo functionality, just in a significantly smaller package!
