Browser App

I’ve uninstalled Billeo, how do I remove the vault?

You've uninstalled the Billeo browser app and now the only files remaining on your machine are the Vault files that contain your private information (i.e. your encrypted password, contact and payment information which you stored using the Billeo service). We leave the Vault files on your system after uninstall because this data is yours. So, if you need to access this information again you'll need these files. If you delete these files this information will no longer be retrievable.

To remove the Vault files, follow these steps:

Windows Vista & 7 users:

  • Click Start
  • Click My Computer
  • Click on Local Disk (C:)
  • Click on Users
  • Click on Your Windows User Name
  • Click on the Application Data* folder
  • Click on the Billeo directory
  • Select the folder with your username
  • Delete the files in this folder (or the folder itself)

Windows XP Users:

  • Click Start
  • Click My Computer
  • Click on Local Disk (C:)
  • Click on Documents & Settings
  • Click on All Users
  • Click on the Application Data* folder
  • Click on the Billeo directory
  • Select the folder with your username
  • Delete the files in this folder (or the folder itself)

Intel-Based Mac Users:

  • Open Finder
  • Click Documents
  • Click on Local Disk (C:)
  • Click on Documents & Settings
  • Click on All Users
  • Click on the Application Data* folder
  • Click on the Billeo directory
  • Select the folder with your username
  • Delete the files in this folder (or the folder itself)

*Your Application Data folder may be hidden. To enable viewing hidden files and folders, please open your Windows Explorer. From your Windows Explorer window, please select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. From the Folder Options, select the View tab. Please make sure that the radio button labeled Show Hidden Files and Folders is currently selected, then click OK.
